Lip Filling

Since the existence of humanity, full lips have been one of the most important elements of youth, beauty and sexual attraction. For this reason, lip filling is one of the indispensable needs of facial aesthetics.

Lip filling applications are a painless and quickly completed filling process applied to add volume to the lips and improve their aesthetic appearance.

Who can have lip filling?

Lip filling can be done due to various needs and defects. One of the most important application reasons is the lips that begin to lose their attractiveness and weaken with advancing age. The need usually starts to increase after the age of 30. Due to the effects of sun, smoking and genetic factors, a pale and dry lip appearance develops in addition to the loss of volume in the lips. The lip frame becomes unclear, the corners of the lips begin to turn downwards. Apart from this, there are also clients whose lips are naturally thin or asymmetrical. Sometimes the lip structure can be thin, and sometimes the lip may be turned inwards. The appearance of gums while smiling (gummy smile) or malocclusion of the upper and lower jaws affect lip aesthetics. Smoking for many years also leads to asymmetries that cause collapses in places in the lips. In such cases, the aim is to reconstruct or beautify rather than rejuvenate with lip filler. First of all, a detailed examination should be carried out for all our clients to determine the needs of not only the lip but also the lip area, and the treatment should be planned accordingly.

Which products are used in lip filler and what is the duration of effect?

The basic filler used in lip filler applications is hyaluronic acid. Fillers other than this are not reliable. There are many different products produced by different companies with different thicknesses and consistencies. The filler material is decided according to the client's needs. Generally, 1-2 cc hyaluronic acid application is sufficient for the beginning, depending on the client's needs. The effect lasts for an average of 6-9 months after the first application. However, in some patients, this period may be shorter due to genetic and environmental factors. In this group of patients, the effectiveness period is extended when it is re-evaluated after approximately 3 months and 1 more cc is applied if necessary.

Is there any harm in lip filler?

Lip filler applications are preferred by those who have deformities in their lips, are not satisfied with their lip structure and want to achieve a new look. After the general features of the face are evaluated, a lip model suitable for the face is created. The lips are numbed with an anesthetic cream about half an hour before and the application begins. By adhering to the applications performed by a specialist doctor in the field and again adhering to the doctor's recommendations, the session after the application can be overcome quite comfortably. Swelling may be seen in the lip area for the first one or two weeks, this is normal. Partial bruises disappear within two weeks. The necessary checks are made and in a short time

What should be considered before the lip filler procedure?

A few days before the procedure, stopping aspirin, vitamin E, omega 3, green tea and similar medications and nutritional supplements known as blood thinners will reduce the bruising that may develop after the procedure. If there is a history of recurrent herpes infections around the lips, anti-herpetic treatment can be started to prevent the recurrence of herpes. Anesthetic creams applied to the lips approximately 15 minutes before the procedure will make the procedure more comfortable.
